Can be used as a cordless drill or cordless screwdriver, as it has a speed adjustable power trigger. I used it for about 10 minutes to drill a few holes, then was given a Dewalt drill by a friend who had too many. I didn't even use the double headed bit that comes with it. It would make a nice gift to a family member to get some home projects done. It is an excellent drill, lots of power, definitely superior to Black & Decker, of which I have owned many. It is a nice size and not too heavy, suitable for use by anyone. A real bargain at only $35.
