Lead Fencing Installer

Mid Island Fence Products is currently looking for a Lead Field Installer position, to join our team at our Nanaimo location. No previous fencing experience is required but is considered of value and an asset. Mid-Island Fence Product's Ltd. is a branch of Tower Fence Products Ltd and Colonial Railings and make up Vancouver Island's largest fence, deck, and railings contractor. As the lead hand, under the supervision of the project manager and branch manager, your responsibilities and positional requirements include: - Maintaining a safe and organized work environment - Installation of chain link, ornamental, wood, concrete, agriculture fencing and other metal fencing including gates, frames, posts and other applicable fencing components. - Lead, supervise and direct field hands - Prepare project/ job materials and tools - Knowledge and experience with common carpentry and construction tools - Assisting and supporting Field Installers, Welders, and Yard Hands in the field, shop or yard - Bobcat, Ditchwitch and forklift operations - Operating hydraulic and pneumatic hand tools - Towing flat deck trailer experience - Picking materials for Supply Only customers. - Abiding to, and knowledging, and understanding of company health and safety policies and company regulations and standards. - Maintaining valid and safety certificates. - Must be able to lift 50lbs - Must have a class 5 drivers license and reliable means of transportation to Mid-Island Fence Products yard. - Must be willing to provide a drivers abstract - Fence and construction experience is an asset Please feel free to contact us via e-mail or phone to inquire about the open positions, or come by our office during business hours at 2565 McCullough Rd. to introduce yourself.
