( one interesting estimate: " in a well fertilized field the weight of worms in the soil would out weigh the weight of the cattle in the field). From moisture retention, soil improvement, mineralization , deeper root systems, drought resistance, Vermicomposting adds beneficial organisms to the soil. These microorganisms and soil fauna help break down organic materials and convert nutrients into a more available food form for plants.
