Buddy is a very handsome and goofy American Staffordshire terrier x who is 10 years old and looking for a home where he can spend his best years to come! Buddy has lived most of his life with a male, although he has shown that he is totally fine with women too. He enjoys his walks, likes being groomed and generally being around people. He has shown some resource guarding with his toys, meaning he doesn't like to let you to take them. This would need to be worked on with positive reinforced training and teaching him to 'trade' so he knows that giving up his toys is not a bad thing. For this reason we recommend kids aged 14+ who understand that you cant just take his stuff away. Buddy was attacked by 2 other dogs prior to coming into us and although he has come across as indifferent to the dogs at the shelter, if he were to meet another dog out on his doggy walks, it should be done in a safe and positive way to ensure he hasn't had any lasting fear from the incident. He would not do well with small dogs or cats. Even though Buddy is in his golden years, he still has lots of energy and love to give.
