With their easygoing nature and shared sense of exploration, Hank and Tank are ready to become a delightful addition to a loving family. If you're looking to add a touch of warmth, furry charm and silly squeaks to your life, consider opening your heart and home to these two inseparable pals. As adult guinea pigs, they'll need a spacious enclosure with plenty of room to roam, explore, and exercise. Avoid cages with wire bottoms, as they can be uncomfortable and harmful to their delicate feet. Instead, opt for a spacious x-pen lined with safe bedding like towels, bath mats, and fleece. In addition to a cozy home, Hank and Tank will need a well-balanced diet consisting of high-quality hay, fresh vegetables, and a small amount of guinea pig pellets. Regular nail trims and hair brushing will also be necessary to keep them looking and feeling their best. When it comes to snacks, they have refined tastes. The boys go wild for cilantro, celery, carrots, and green bell peppers. Treat them to their favorite veggies, and you'll have two very happy piggies on your hands! Please note, we may request a photo of the enclosure set up to ensure they are going to a home that provides them with all their needs. For adoption applications: 1. Visit the Nanaimo BC SPCA at 154 Westwood rd, to meet Hank and Tank, learn more about their ideal match and apply to adopt in person; or 2. Submit an online application and staff will contact the first suitable adopter to set-up a visit. Kindly note that due to the high number of applications and the availability of walk-in adoptions, we will only be contacting potential adopters to further review their interest. Potential adopters must be available to come in for a meet and greet within 24hrs after being contacted.
