Experienced Kitchen Designer

KITCHEN DESIGNER Commission based, sub-contracted. Must reside within the areas of Duncan to Parksville, with job focus in Nanaimo. Please do not apply if you do not live within these areas of Vancouver Island, Canada, as this position requires on-site measures/consultations. WHO WE ARE: Where design and sales come together! We are a full-service company that work from design through to installation. With our construction division, T-Square Construction, we can offer clients a complete renovation package. We love to make our clients happy and feel they’ve had the best experience with their renovation. POSITION DESCRIPTION: As a sub-contracted Designer, you will: -Provide your own transportation, measure tools, CAD software and laptop. -Receive client leads from one of our showrooms (Nanaimo and Victoria) and make contact to set your own consultation time, within a Monday to Friday, 8am to 4pm parameter. Schedule our Construction division to accompany as needed. -Measure on-site, in client’s home, review project requirements and keep well documented notes to ensure client satisfaction. Some clients may only be working from plans. -From your personal work space, produce CAD walkthroughs of the space, clearly demonstrating the designed areas to your client. Create detailed, itemized IKEA materials lists to be able to create an accurate project quote for the client presentation. -Meet with the client at our Nanaimo Showroom for a presentation. Be able to present your design ideas with corresponding project quote. -After presentation, be able to close the sale with our non-aggressive approach. -After sale closed, produce working elevations for our trades and produce detailed IKEA shopping lists for ordering purposes. -Represent Easy Installations at home exhibitions as needed. APPLICANT QUALITIES: Be a dedicated professional who cares about the task at hand and sees it through. Be an effective communicator both verbally and with using CAD software.
