Winter Warriors Paddle Canada Level 1 Skills Course You will say warm & dry as you will be provided with a complimentary Dry suit plus Kayak & safety gear. Correct paddling stroke and rescue techniques make up the 1st day of this excellent course. On day two participants will have the opportunity to pack a kayak with gear necessary for a comfortable a day trip and take part in group trip planning, weather interpretation, navigation and risk assessment. Trip planning, weather interpretation & navigation form a fundamental part of the course. A full resource pack, manual and joining instructions are available on registration. Activities focus on safety and gaining paddling skills for a day trip within a large bay or sheltered shoreline. Issues of safety between paddling partners and judgments of sea conditions throughout the day along the shore are included.
