Hi, We are seeking a large farm to buy and work. We currently own and operate a small family farm on 7.5 hilly acres in sooke. We have built this farm from the ground up building a barn, large workshop, multiple coops, cattle structures, feeders, grain bins, gardens, plating fruit trees, fencing, logging, hand seeding pasture... everything. Through this hard work we have realized this is truly our dream and our way of life. Hard work, grit, blood, sweat and tears have never swayed us from our path. We have learned so much over the last 5 years and continue to learn everyday. We love the work and the ability to raise our own food for our selves and our community. We love how farming ties us to the earth, to our animals and to the seasons. We currently raise milk cows, beef cows, hogs, turkeys, meat birds, layers and ducks. Larger pieces of land are hard to find that are farmable... we also do not have 2.5 million to spend. 😖. And so. I put this out there to anyone who may read this. If you know of an old farm or older farmers who are no longer using their land but want to see it continue in the ways of old times past. I ask if you could please send me a message. We are hoping to buy a house and land. Renting for us really isn't secure enough. We hope to set down deep roots and continue in our passion providing for our family and the greater community. We hope to continue to teach our young children the ways so they may continue to grow and raise healthy happy food and animals. We hope for 50-100 acres of farmable land, area for grazing and haying, good water source and supply, gardens if possible, barn, large workshop and a house to live in.
