WANTED: Professional couple looking for 2-3 bedroom detached rental

My partner and I are looking for a rental somewhere in the Cowichan Valley, as far north as Nanaimo, but ideally in the Chemainus/Ladysmith area, between now and May. I work for the coast guard and my partner is a software developer. We have a very small, sleepy, elderly dog and a semi-outdoor cat. We are looking for a 2-3 bedroom detached rental, ideally a stand alone house or cottage with some space for gardening. I was a landscape and residential designer before I joined the coast guard, so I don't mind adding some finesse to a place. (Added value to your rental property) We are looking for something long-term, hopefully 4-5 years and have excellent references. We are looking to spend no more than 30% of our income, so that maxes us out at $1800 for rent. Non-carpeted floors would be really beneficial as we both have allergies.
