Room Rental: Best suited for VIU international or long distance student / work visa traveller. We have hosted international guests for 8 years. We are a family home. The rent is on the lower floor. The lower floor has partial kitchenette, small living space (common area), shared laundry and shared bathroom. Students enter through back entrance. The lower floor has everything you need from toiletries to plates, towels, desk, dresser, bed, decor, bedding etc. All you need is your suitcases and books for studying. We provide wifi as well. Single occupancy is $625 Please note a few things : You are renting a room in the lower portion of our home. We do not under any circumstances allow parties or smoking in our home. This includes E-Smokes. We prefer Non- Smokers due to sensitivities. Keep in mind I work from home and I run my business from another room on the lower floor. We can be more involved or less involved with you. It's really up to you and we respect either way. During your first days here we can help you learn the map of Nanaimo and help you get situated before your off doing your own thing. We are right on the bus route with the bus stop steps away. My husband drives the city bus and can always help direct you :) We also live 1 block (3 minute walk) away from Nanaimo's best grocery store and lounge.
