$800 · Unfurnished Room for Rent

I have an unfurnished room available for April 1st or potentially a couple of days earlier in a two-bedroom one bathroom ground level suite in South Nanaimo for a single occupant of any gender identity. You would be sharing the suite with me, a female, and my rescue pup. Rent is $800 a month and ½ of hydro (the suite is on its own hydro meter from upstairs) for a 12 or 14 month lease, the rent includes water, garbage/recycling pickup, and internet. There is on-street parking and a bus stop very close by. The suite is only a year old, in a newer area, and includes in-suite laundry, a dishwasher, and lots of cabinet space in the kitchen. The kitchen, living room, and bathroom are shared spaces and fully furnished though if you have some furniture for the shared spaces, we could potentially rearrange things so you can bring it with you and make the space more yours as well. The suite is located within walking distance or a short bus ride to VIU and walking distance to Bowen Park and Buttertubs Marsh. The upper level is lived in by the landlords who are super friendly folks and great landlords, I have been renting from them for almost 2 years. Looking for: - Someone quiet and respectful - Non-smoking - Queer friendly - Clean and Tidy - Dog Friendly but has no pets. - Okay with some dog hair (no matter how often I vacuum there is still dog hair in the shared spaces and couches) About me: - I am a mid 20s female student who also works from home at the moment. - Very quiet and respectful of other peoples' space - Non-smoking, non-partying - Clean and tidy - I have a 50lb Husky Mix. Pup: - A two-year-old rescue - Very excitable and loves people. - Non-destructive - Fairly quiet, does grumble. - She is allowed on the couches. - She will not be allowed in your private space unless you allow her.
