I'm Laura Augustine, and I graduated from Architectural Technology in 2005 from Fanshawe in Ontario. Ever since I've been working in design for industrial applications to residential in Ontario and Alberta and I'm setting up my practice now in BC, as I go back to school to upgrade my education to become an Architect. My partner is an Engineer, and together our mission is to help people design their sustainable, practical and beautiful dream homes and lives. I love to work with people with strong visions of what they want, and that's why I'm offering a very inexpensive consultation service to support home owners and contractors alike. If you've done sketches and drawings, but are having trouble finding someone to do the build, getting a design consultation can be very helpful. If you're a contractor with a full plate, and customers who have ideas but no construction drawings, consider contacting me to help so you can get right to the build. If you already have a design, a review will ensure that: - You have enough information to get an accurate quote - You can avoid costly misunderstandings and project holdups - You're in compliance with building code and city zoning laws - Builds can be executed faster and more cost efficiently My services included here are for a consultation and review of your drawings which includes: - An initial phone call or skype to hear about your project - Travel to your house or site within the Nanaimo/Ladysmith area, outside this area will be subject to a fuel surcharge - Taking pictures of your home or site - Review of your designs, drawings & gathered materials You will receive a short report & markup of your drawings containing suggestions, recommendations, ideas, & questions to help move your project forward.
