Don't be scared! - If you're like most people, you cringe at the feeling of going into a test. Not only will we ensure that you taught everything you need to know in order to pass, we'll also make sure you're tested in a calm environment with an instructor that doesn't make you nervous. We're here to help! I'm scared of tests! - Don't worry! Our goal is to ensure every single candidate gets the proper one one one time with an instructor to ensure you learn all the information require to pass the test like a breeze. If you pay attention and come with an excited attitude to learn, we will ensure we do everything we can to help you pass. If a retest if needed for any reasons, we will do it for free! Do I need prior firearms experience? - Not at all! This course is designed with the absolute beginner in mind. Our RCMP approved courses cover both non-restricted (long guns) and restricted (handguns) firearms in the most efficient manner available. We offer this course over either 1 day or 2 days including testing, depending on which courses you choose. Passing this course is a federal requirement to apply for your non-restricted and restricted Possession and Acquisition license (PAL). This course includes - Safety rules (ACTS and PROVE). - Loading and unloading of 9 typical action types. - Brief firearms history. - Ammunition types (handgun, rifle and shotgun). - Best practices for using a firearm in the field or at the range. - Carrying positions and cleaning principles. - Overview of Canadian gun laws and regulations. - Hands-on practice session on deactivated firearms. - Safe Storage and Transportation - Federal multiple choice & practical tests (CFSC - non restricted). - Federal multiple choice & practical tests (CRFSC - restricted). - PAL application package, to be submitted to the CFO by the student after successful completion of the course. - Official RCMP CFSC/CRFSC course manual (free pdf). Course Instructions: - You are required to arrange your own transportation to and from our facility and bring a lunch. - We will provide some cookies and water as well.
