Generally the drums are in very good condition with only a few very minor marks to the finish. These six drums are Pearl Masters Custom from the mid 1990's. They are in #126 Emerald Mist lacquer.The top of the kick drum and one area on the 14" floor tom show signs of some refinishing (presumably to cover some "rash") but this is only noticeable on very close inspection. All the shells are 4 ply maple with 4 ply maple reinforcement rings. Specifically, the drums are: 22x16 kick drum with contrasting natural maple hoops and Evans batter head 14x6.5 snare drum with nearly new Remo Tattoo batter head 10x10 hanging tom with ISS mount and gearless bass drum tom mounting arm 12x10 hanging tom with ISS mount and gearless bass drum tom mounting arm 14x14 floor tom with legs 16x16 floor tom with legs All the toms have Pearl Stainless Steel hoops and nearly new Evans coated batter heads. In the final picture you'll find an 8" hanging tom. Although the label on this says it is also a Pearl Masters Custom drum, this is not the case. Someone added a nice (possibly Taye?) tom to the set and took the trouble to match the finish almost exactly. If you want the set and don't dicker about the price, I'll include this drum and the Pearl gearless tom arm as well as a Pearl bracket so it can be mounted on your cymbal stand, at no extra charge. The unquestionable thing about this set is the rich, warm tone, outstanding resonance and superb projection, all inherent characteristics of these Pearl Masters Custom drums, which in the mid '90's were at the pinnacle of the Pearl product line.
