On-Site Maintenance Supervisor

Seeking an On-Site Maintenance Supervisor will manage multiple commercial and residential properties in Nanaimo, BC. Reporting to the Regional Property Manager, this role is responsible for providing on-site operation and maintenance services to the buildings and complex. Previous building management or operation experience is a must. Salary: $55,000/annual, on-call pay. Benefits: Comprehensive benefits package after 3 months probationary period. Shifts: Monday to Friday 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Must be prepared to respond to emergency after-hour calls; as a result, the ideal candidate will reside within a 5-10 km radius of the complex. Requirements: High school diploma and/or a minimum of 3 years' previous related experience. Construction experience and/or experience with building equipment such as HVAC, Fire Life Safety, Plumbing, CCTV preferred. Sound knowledge and use of personal computers and various software including but not limited to Angus Anywhere, Outlook, Word, Excel, and the ability to learn new software such as CCTV Avigilon Software. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Valid Class 5 Driver's License required and must have access to a vehicle. Duties: Complete equipment and facilities systems preventative maintenance schedule and troubleshoot and perform minor repairs to prevent equipment or system failures. Coordinates scheduling of services by 3rd Party contractors and/or trades persons ensuring the same are qualified to perform work (including obtaining copies of Insurance and WCB). Conduct tenant unit inspections to inventory and assess equipment. Other duties as required.
