$300 · Nigerian Dwarf Goat - Breeding Buck

Mr. (Jelly) Bean is a 2.5 year old proven Nigerian Dwarf buck. Disbudded as a kid so he has no horns, recently wormed and feet trimmed. Not registered, but he is purebred Nigerian Dwarf and was born on our farm. We retained him as a buck due to his breeding (dam and sire's dam were both excellent milkers) and his sweet disposition. Jelly Bean is gentle with the ladies but knows his job and gets it done. He has given us many wonderful kids over the past two seasons, most of whom have inherited his lovely temperament. We are now selling our farm, which is the reason Jelly Bean is for sale. Jelly Bean knows his name and comes when called (unless distracted by a pretty girl-goat, but we can forgive that). He is very easy to handle and cooperates well for hoof trimming and other routine maintenance, even injections if necessary, and he hardly makes a fuss. He ties and leads well, so he is easy to move from place to place. He is also very even tempered, predictable, and respectful of his human caretakers. Jelly Bean is a most amazing buck and were we not selling our farm we would be only too happy to renew his contract. However, we have reduced our goat herd significantly in preparation for our upcoming move and Jelly Bean is out of a job. He loves to work, and is now actively seeking gainful employment elsewhere. When not working at his specialty, he excels at brush clearing and lawn mowing, truly a goat of many talents! Our breeding focus has been on milk production, and our goats are very well cared for including annual vet checks and testing for CAE and Johne's disease (negative), with no CL in our herd. Although he is very sweet and gentle, bucks are not pets (they stink!) so we will sell this special boy only to a home where he will be used for breeding.
