Carbon/Kevlar. A good starter price for people who want to learn to paddle these narrow, fast, tippy boats! This one is tippier and quicker than many, so it would be a challenging starter boat but a good skill-builder for fast modern hulls. Comes with a very low foam and fiberglass seat that I made in order to learn, and with the original tall wood seat. There is some denatured white duct tape on the foredeck to protect from paddle strikes, but the hull is sound (probably because of the tape!).
