Job Title: Laboratory Assistant

Location: Parksville, Vancouver Island, British Columbia Experience: No laboratory experience is required, however prior experience will be considered advantageous. Candidates with prior experience in a scientific laboratory or industrial setting are encouraged to apply. Salary: Hourly wage, $15.00/hr. Entry Level, Summer contract Position. About The Company: Blue Coast Research Ltd (BCR) is a growing metallurgical testwork laboratory located in Parksville, British Columbia. Formed in early 2011, BCR is focussed on providing quality metallurgical testwork data and interpretation to the global minerals industry. Our business is geared towards precious and base metals mineral processing testwork with particular focus on froth flotation, leaching, physical separation and sample preparation. About The Position: BCR is seeking Laboratory Assistants to join our growing testwork laboratory team over the summer months. The successful candidate will be required to perform housekeeping duties including cleaning, movement and organization of samples, reagents and equipment. Other duties to may include the inventory, crushing, blending and pulverising of testwork samples. Prior experience in a scientific or industrial setting will be viewed favourably. The successful candidate should have a demonstrated knowledge of basic Microsoft Excel and have strong English written and spoken skills.
