Job Title: Fire Assay Technician Location: Parksville, Vancouver Island, British Columbia Experience: No prior mineral processing or assay experience is required, however prior experience will be considered advantageous. Salary: Hourly wage, $15.50-$17.00/hr. Salary commensurate with experience. About The Company: Blue Coast Research Ltd (BCR) is a growing metallurgical testwork laboratory located in Parksville, British Columbia. Formed in early 2011, BCR is focussed on providing quality metallurgical testwork data and interpretation to the global minerals industry. Our business is geared towards precious and base metals mineral processing testwork with particular focus on froth flotation, leaching, physical separation and sample preparation. About The Position: BCR is seeking an entry level fire assay technician to join our growing testwork laboratory team. The successful candidate will be required to effectively weigh, fuse, and cupel routine and non-routine samples. The successful applicant will have demonstrated prior proficiency in a scientific or industrial setting as well as demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft excel and have strong English written and spoken skills. A formal qualification or training in a scientific subject such as chemistry or BCIT assayer training will be considered advantageous but is not a requirement.
