Housekeeping Attendant

Middle Beach Lodge in Tofino is currently looking for energetic, reliable housekeeping staff for the spring/summer season. The ideal candidates must have a great work ethic and a positive attitude. The physical demands of cleaning require housekeepers to be in good physical condition. Friendly and courteous guest relations skills and outstanding attention to detail is required. Previous housekeeping experience is an asset (but not a strict requirement). We provide Subsidized Staff Accommodation on-site within a 10 min. walk to work and a 10 min. walk to the beach. Details: Full- time positions available in housekeeping. Ideal candidate will be able to start ASAP. Duties include but aren't limited to: - To thoroughly clean assigned guest rooms/cabins while adhering to company standards of cleanliness - To clean and maintain hotel public areas - To assist with laundry as required - To safely handle cleaning solutions and properly operate cleaning equipment - Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with other departments - Follow directions and communicate in English - Report necessary maintenance items Skills and Qualifications: - Organized with great attention to detail - Arrives to work on time and is present for all scheduled shifts - Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs. and stand for extended periods of time - Occasional ascending and descending ladders and stairs - Must be able to work safely with a variety of cleaning chemicals - Must be able to work independently and within a team - Schedule flexibility, including weekends and holidays - SIN card and Visa requirement: Must be legally eligible to work in Canada - In order to provide guests with a consistent level of quality service, staff members will be required to commit to working for a 6-month term or more Staff housing available.
