WHO YA GONNA CALL?? FLED (FINDING LOST AND ESCAPED DOGS) If your pet goes missing, it can be hard to think clearly through the worry and fear over what might have happened to your dog. Here's the good news: WE COVER VANCOUVER ISLAND FLED (FINDING LOST AND ESCAPED DOGS) is a very knowledgeable, Vancouver Island group to contact if or when a PET SEARCH & RESCUE is needed. FLED (Finding Lost and Escaped Dogs) created the first "Boots to the Ground" Pet Search and Rescue, on Vancouver Island, on January 4, 2013. We are a Registered Canadian Charity, operated entirely by donations We are a small group of very skilled volunteers, who assist dog owners to get the word out on Social Media, report to all Authorities, such as the BCSPCA, Animal Control Services, and Vets Hospitals and Clinics, plus providing a poster to be printed off, physically help search for your dog, and if or when needed, we will humanly live trap your dog. Dogs who have been lost for a few days may not recognize owners if they have been running and scared and may be disoriented, hungry, thirsty and tired. We use Sign Boards on corners of busy intersections, and we help with putting up posters on mailboxes and poles.
