Special theme chess set. New. Never used. We do not play chess. Made in Italy. Individually hand painted polyresin. Tallest piece is the Roman Emperor 3.5". The case is wood/etched glass and well made, flocked with an insert for the pieces. The playing board is the glass top. (Two photos show some of the pieces on a wooden board. This set is more costly with the glass board and storage case.) The pieces have felt glides. Also included is a set of glass checkers, plain and frosted. A piece of history.
