$25 · Caregiver Support Lead (Social work, psychology, counselling)

The Cowichan Family Caregivers Support Society is seeking two part-time Caregiver Support Leads to provide one-on-one support to caregivers and lead groups for family caregivers in the Cowichan Valley. The Caregiver Support Lead must have proven skills leading supportive groups, success in relationship building and be familiar with caregivers and the challenges they face. NOTE: this job is located in Duncan. Some of the Education and Skills preferred: * Background in social work, psychology, counselling, and/or community support work * Minimum of 2 years experience working with older adults and seniors * Minimum of 2 years experience facilitating supportive groups * Good understanding of computer systems, including data entry and data management systems * Establish professional and effective communication * Ability to use vehicle for work and to travel to services sites * Ensure strict Covid-19 safety measures are implemented This position is for 20-25 hours/week or a full-time position, at $25/hour.
