The BOKER TREE BRAND BLACK GOLD MINER KNIFE is made in Solingen Germany, where experts have been making these knives since 1869. This company is well known for their high levels of precision, leading-edge design and use of top quality materials. This rare 1992 Black Gold knife is great collectible piece which commemorates both an industry that came of age during the industrial revolution and the miners who risked their lives. Beautiful black handles decorated with two brass emblems and capped with shining brass bolsters and liners. One emblem features the trademark of Boker Tree Brand and the other: a helmet and lamp, the trademark of the miner. This has a miner etched in gold on the black 3.5" blade. The knife measures 8" open. A little bit of trivia - This exact same knife is on display at the LORETTA LYNN "COAL MINER DAUGHTER'S MUSEUM" in Tennessee. This knife is in excellent condition.
