$200 · 5yr old female GSD/Rottie mix (VERY timid)

5yr old female GSD/Rottie mix (VERY timid) image 1

**This as was posted by a volunteer previously who has since passed sadly so I apologize to those folks who may have inquired in the past. We were unable to fix the contact details** "A" is a quiet, shy girl who came from a very rough start in life. She was found along with her mother and one sibling in a urine, and feces infested garage covered in sores from laying in their own filth and excrement. We believe she was stepped on, thrown or kicked as a new pup as she had evidence of a skull fracture that mainly results from some form of blunt force. She has sadly taken those first weeks of life with her, shes VERY timid. Has never shown aggression, in fact when asked her foster mom said the only time shes ever heard her growl was while on a walk at night and a man approached them. "A" let go a small growl and kept herself between her mom and the strange man so she does show a sense of protectiveness despite being timid. She'll let you know if anyone pulls in the driveway but barking for her is pretty rare, She loves other dogs, has been around mini breeds to XL breeds and has never met a dog she didnt like. I would suggest a female oriented home, and cannot stress enough that you will have to be patient with her and cant expect a whole lot to soon. She does experience "flight mode" when with people shes not familiar with so a good quality collar and halter is definitely suggested. And to make sure she's secure before leaving the home or vehicle with her. Has NEVER been around small kids or cats. Shes currently not spayed as our group lost a lot of funding and resources throughout covid, and sadly havent been able to reach that point where we can financially resume regular, mandatory spay and neuters. We've cut our adoption fee by 33% to help with the expense of spay. Her adoption fee is $200, (down from $300) and we do adoptions in a 3 part process. 1. Application 2. Interview via email & 3. Pickup. We do require government issued id to verify identity (We please ask that you black out everything except the picture, name and address. We just need to verify who you are, the sensitive info isn't necessary). Please Email via Ad to request a questionnaire.
