$999 · 2006 BMW X5 *Does not Start*

Vehicle does not start. This is the only information I have about this vehicle: Two years ago I was driving the vehicle and suddenly a message was flashing "check engine, stop vehicle". It died right then and I was able to pull to the side of the road. I had it towed home and it has been sitting in my driveway since. The battery is dead. The drivers side door handle doesn't work. Previous to dying the car would often exhaust bluish coloured smoke upon starting. Aesthetically it is in good shape with some minor scratches. No rust. If you have a diagnostic tool that you can hook up to the cars computer for more information you are welcome to come by and do that. I am assuming the car would be good for parts or a mechanic willing to fix it. There is one key. Kilometres unknown, battery is dead. I really do not have any more information than what I've posted here, I really cannot answer any questions about the vehicle. If you are interested in coming by for a look, please email or text me.
